A Political Panel Grows in Brookline.

Your publisher interrupts his planned King Day hiatus to bring readers this bulletin - word on the street is that the members of the Selectmen’s Citizen’s Complaint Anniversary Committee will indeed include Brookline PAX Co-chair Martin Rosenthal. Seeing as how Rosenthal actively campaigned for three of the five selectmen currently on the board, it’s clear that the only design for this Committee is political cover.
Rosenthal is nothing more than an apologist for town hall. He recently wrote a TAB column saying there was nothing wrong with the current policy. So, his contribution will be…what?
And I’ve kept a copy of the e-mail Rosenthal sent me telling me how proud he was of Brookline when a mob (of town managers, PAXers and GreenSpace Alliance) stormed the selectmen’s hearing room to shout down former Selectman Michael Sher when he called for an investigation into the Brookline DPW. (I figure it will be useful for any Governor’s Council hearings that may pop up.)
And big props to PAX member Andrew Fischer for his quote in today’s Globe saying he wants to make sure that “yelling while black” is no longer illegal in Brookline.
