Nancy’s Going to Give Us Another Shot.

The TAB has a front pager announcing that Selectmen Gil Hoy and Nancy Daly will seek re-election in May. I don’t know why Hoy wants to put himself through that, considering his recent history. But given the frequency with which he changes his mind, he could pull out at any moment.

And oh, delight. Nancy Daly’s going to give us another chance to experience her special brand of smarmy.

Marie_Antoinette-thumb.jpgNancy’s going to run on a re-election platform featuring…what? A failed affordable housing project and a few million bucks likely lost at St. Aidan’s? The Brookline DPW under federal investigation while she serves as chair of the town’s so-called audit committee? The railroading of due process in the Arthur Conquest matter? Her idea that the Town could circumvent the state taxing authority should a preservation tax surcharge pass in Brookline? Her inability to make a move without Bobby Allen’s approval? Her general disdain for the public?

It’s hard to see how a voter might fancy Nancy in 2008.

  1. NANCY WITH THE LAUGHING FACE ….

Just imagine Frank Sinatra’s recording as the signature song of Daly’s campaign for reelection.
