I’m just wild about Henry.

Today, Representative Henry Waxman (D-Cal.) presided over a hearing that authorized a subpoena of Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice. Yesterday, he uncovered the Pentagon’s cover-up of the friendly-fire fraticide of former NFL star and Army Ranger Pat Tillman. He’s after phone records and e-mails concerning the purge of US Attorneys (some of whom, apparently, were busy investigating Republican Congressmen).

And while Waxman does the people’s business, Brookline’s representative in Congress, Barney Frank, is busy cutting the number of affordable housing units for Hurricane Katrina victims [see previous post]. And cashing campaign checks [data] from the businesses his committee is supposed to regulate.

Take a look at Waxman’s donation history [click here] and you’ll see why he appears to be unburdened by sensitivity to the other side, and their well-heeled patrons.
