It’s a Great Day…

…to be a White Christian in America. The US Supreme Court is the George W. Bush Court and we’ll no longer have any special treatment for the people whom we made live in a segregated society a mere four decades ago.

This, on the same day that the Brookline Selectmen give over $1.5 million in public funds to the Boston Archdiocese, $500 thousand of which have no strings attached. The white people on that Board are going to give the poor folks some housing, as soon as the lawyers get paid (can’t wait to get my hands on that audit). And as long as it’s not in their neighborhood.

And next time you hear Selectman’s Chairman Gil Hoy say, “there’s no money for this project”, you’ll need to get out your decoder ring to get the translation: “I’m really pleased to vote more money for this project.”

And who’s going to protect the Town’s interest with this $1.5 million gift to the Church? Selectman Robert Allen. It’s like they have a team of comedy writers working the plot before the meetings start. Alas, you can’t make this stuff up.
