A special thanks to those who have answered the call for donations as we attempt to add a video component to On Brookline. The idea is to begin broadcasting segments of the Brookline Selectmen’s meetings (with commentary) to broaden awareness for the arrogance and ineptitude of of our so-called executive branch, as it unfolds.

Of course, we’re well within the horror genre with this. I assume that many viewers will be shocked to see the adolescent histrionics of Selectman Robert “The Mensch” Allen. And the chairmanshipping skills of Selectman Nancy Daly may put us into the macabre (good thing Allen’s there to bark orders at her).

  1. Jim,
You might be able to finance this endeavor by including lawyer advertising with the video clips, which might in comparison to the Selectmen’s antics (especially those of them who are attorneys) appear to be more civil and rational. Now, what attorneys practicing in Brookline might be interested?

  2. So Chair Daly is guided by Robert’s (i.e., Robert “Bobby” Allen version) Rules of Order (oral edition) in conducting BOS meetings? This would appear to be an illustration of “res gestae” in action. (Like stepping on the cat’s tail.)
